Field Service Technician – Heat Exchanger

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Iowa, +3 more states.

📋 Description

• Available for 24/7 on-call field service work.

• Troubleshoot and provide service training at customer locations for mechanical, electrical, and electronic components, including heat exchangers.

• Conduct preventive maintenance, emergency repairs, and warranty services.

• Manage travel expenses and operational costs related to field service visits.

• Prepare expense and service reports for each job within two weeks of completion.

• Generate job time and expense reports, Concur expense reports, and payroll reports as required by all field service technicians.

• Acquire signed Time Summary sheets from customers upon job completion.

⛳️ Requirements

• Associate’s degree (AS) or two years of military mechanical experience, or equivalent job experience.

• A minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.

• Proficient mechanical skills and aptitude.

• Basic electrical skills.

• Ability to communicate operational and safety parameters for Alfa Laval (OHSA) equipment to customers.

• Customer service and sales oriented.

• Exceptional interpersonal skills.

• Strong verbal and written communication abilities.

• Capable of troubleshooting and resolving technical issues.

• Team player with the ability to work independently.

• Basic PC skills required in Word and Excel.

• Willingness to learn and utilize systems necessary for managing service and expense reports.
