• Employ all knowledge and skills expected of a Field Service Technician 1, including fundamental repairs, inspections, adherence to safety standards, inventory management, vehicle operation, and customer service.
• Exhibit proficiency in various window types (single-hung, double-hung, casement, sliding) and door systems, along with repair and replacement methodologies.
• Work with diverse window and door materials (wood, vinyl, aluminum, and various glass types), utilizing appropriate techniques and care.
• Effectively use a variety of tools such as drills, sealants, pry bars, caulk guns, and power tools with skill and precision.
• Conduct diagnostics and provide technical assistance via phone and email to both internal and external stakeholders.
• Execute water tests in accordance with company guidelines and record results using internal software systems.
• Utilize knowledge of window and door installation techniques to assess and support field projects.
• Organize and manage tasks that require two or more technicians, ensuring effective teamwork with internal departments and customers.
• Professionally resolve warranty or service issues, maintaining customer trust and satisfaction.
• Carry out specialized repairs, including addressing water intrusion issues, shaped products, and installation diagnostics.
• Foster strong relationships with customers and sales teams through clear communication, precise documentation, and reliable service.
• Broaden and apply knowledge of company products and industry standards to enhance advanced field operations.
• Travel daily within the designated territory; overnight travel may be necessary based on territory requirements.
• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• AAMA Installation Training certification is preferred.
• Valid driver’s license with the ability to successfully pass an MVR check.
• Preferred 3–5 years of experience in general construction or building material installation.
• Preferred 3–5 years of experience in fenestration manufacturing or installation.
• Proficient with both hand and power tools.
• Capability to perform advanced diagnostics, repairs, and documentation.
• Strong comprehension of installation practices for windows and doors.
