This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Tennessee.
• Deliver hands-on field service assistance for power transformers, aiding customers in the installation, maintenance, and restoration of essential electrical assets.
• Your responsibilities will encompass installation and commissioning, maintenance, repairs, upgrades, and end-of-life services—frequently executed on-site under demanding field conditions.
• Analyze electrical and mechanical schematics, adhere to technical manuals, and execute detailed service tasks that enhance equipment reliability and ensure safe operation.
• Collaborate closely with service team members and clients to prolong transformer lifespan, boost performance, and support the reliable functioning of power grid infrastructure.
• Candidates must already possess work authorization allowing them to work for Hitachi Energy in the United States.
• An Associate Degree with 2 years of relevant work experience or a High School Diploma/GED with 5 years of relevant work experience is required.
• Comprehensive understanding of transformer field service operations and transformer field testing is essential.
• Familiarity with transformer installation and assembly, vacuum and oil processing, and internal components of transformers is required.
• A valid driver’s license is necessary, along with the willingness to travel up to 85% of the time.
• The ability to work outdoors for extended periods and perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting up to 50 lbs and climbing ladders, is essential.
