This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ohio.
• Deliver technical and sales assistance to customers, which includes assessing customer warranty claims, organizing and coordinating customer visits and project tasks to reduce travel costs and enhance completion timelines, as well as supporting Engineering/Manufacturing with design suggestions and inspections of new equipment.
• Quickly address inquiries from customers and vendors, collaborating and communicating effectively to assess urgency and the nature of the needs, while clarifying complex issues and solutions.
• Provide comprehensive remote and onsite technical support to customers regarding all facets of equipment operation, including new system commissioning, personnel training on operations and maintenance, as well as troubleshooting in-service problems and supervising repairs.
• Accurately interpret and understand operating manuals, parts manuals, blueprints, and technical drawings.
• Thoroughly inspect and test materials and machinery, which includes conducting instrument loop checks and system safety checks, to ensure proper operation and compliance with all safety regulations and policies.
• Carefully inspect and validate dimensions of parts to guarantee adherence to specifications.
• Diligently compose written procedures and recommended operating practices regarding all aspects of unit operation and maintenance.
• At least three (3) years of field service support and hands-on Mechanical or Electrical experience with manufacturing equipment, preferably in the aluminum or primary metals sector.
• Experience with industrial fuel-fired equipment and engineered systems is preferred.
• Technical Skills. Proficient in assessing, troubleshooting, and repairing machinery by utilizing principles, techniques, and standard operating procedures.
• Fundamental knowledge of raw materials, production methods, and basic machinery.
• Understanding of design techniques, tools, and principles involved in producing precise technical plans, blueprints, drawings, and models.
• Computer/Applications Skills. Competent computer skills with various software applications systems, including Microsoft Office Products, Visio, and Computer-Aided Design and Drafting (CADD).
• Travel and Work Requirements. Willingness to travel by land and air up to 80%, both domestically and internationally. Must possess a valid driver’s license and US Passport, or the ability to obtain them as required.
