Field Service Technician

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ohio.

📋 Description

• Travel extensively to repair, maintain, and initiate specified Bartelt Packaging equipment

• Serve as a communication bridge between the customer and the Company

• Install, integrate, repair, and troubleshoot flexible machinery

• Ensure compliance with all established inspection, testing, quality, and operational specifications

• Direct and/or supervise customer personnel during installations and integrations

• Maintain a 24-hour on-call status and offer technical telephone support to customers

• Provide customer training on the operation and servicing of our machinery

• Assist customers with aftermarket parts requirements while in the field

⛳️ Requirements

• Technical Associate degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience

• At least 3 years of experience in machinery repair

• Knowledge and skills in mechanical principles

• Willingness to travel extensively both domestically and internationally

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

• A robust customer service focus

• Proficiency in Windows and MS software (Word, Excel, Outlook)

• Excellent customer service abilities

• Capability to train customer personnel on equipment

• Preferred experience in flexible packaging material machinery

• PLC programming experience is preferred

• Familiarity with PLC/PC systems is advantageous
