Field Service Technician

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Carolina, +2 more states.

📋 Description

• Deliver technical assistance to clients throughout the entire lifecycle of a machine.

• Offer guidance and hands-on support to clients in diagnosing operational issues and providing solutions.

• Conduct on-site training for client operators on setup, operation, changeover, and maintenance of systems.

• Create comprehensive trip reports for clients that outline encountered issues and actions taken.

• Generate field time reports, expense receipts, and maintain follow-up communication with clients.

• Assemble component parts for the aftermarket parts division and occasionally partake in machine rebuilds/upgrades.

• Engage in customer Factory Acceptance Tests.

⛳️ Requirements

• An Associate's Degree in a related technical field or 8 years of relevant work experience.

• A minimum of 3 years of experience in custom machine manufacturing or mechanical repair/maintenance.

• Strong understanding of mechanical and electrical technical applications, particularly Allen-Bradley PLCs, servo-driven motors and controls, stepper motors and controls, and pneumatic machinery.

• Capability to read and comprehend complex engineering designs, including wiring diagrams.

• Experience in the packaging industry is preferred.

• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.

• Strong problem-solving abilities with independent judgment skills.

• Proven ability to successfully manage multiple tasks to meet deadlines on deliverables.

• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally up to 85% of the time.
