Field Service Technician

📋 Description

• Travel to customer locations for the installation, commissioning, testing, calibration, and training of customers on the safe and effective use of Digital Completions Solutions (DCS) products.

• Execute field upgrades for both software and hardware.

• Document and relay field failures, customer insights, and suggestions for enhancements.

• Skillfully communicate and cultivate robust relationships with on-site client representatives and the service provider crews of clients.

• Complete and submit field service documentation promptly.

• Maintain an accurate inventory of equipment on the truck and at client sites.

• Engage in hardware assembly, installation, and R&D testing of DCS products.

• The work schedule consists of 10 days on followed by 4 days off for local technicians.

• Willingness to work over 12 hours a day during your scheduled shifts.

• Strong interpersonal skills are required.

• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities are necessary.

• Availability to be on call is essential.

⛳️ Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent qualification.

• Candidates must be at least 21 years old.

• Must successfully pass a national background check and a review of the motor vehicle record.

• Must be willing to be on call and have the ability to travel as directed by the manager.

• Proficient verbal and written communication skills in English are required.

• Candidates should not be afraid of heights.

• Demonstrated knowledge of upstream oil and gas completions operations, associated equipment, and terminology is necessary.

• Ability to lead and support fellow technicians and colleagues is essential.

• Capability to troubleshoot issues relating to sensors, PLCs, and networking/cabling is required.

• Background in upstream completions or experience as an Electronics Technician is preferred.

• An AA Degree and/or equivalent experience along with a minimum of 2 years in a technical role is preferred.
