Field Service Technician

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida.

📋 Description

• Travel on a daily basis to client locations to conduct troubleshooting, perform hands-on repairs, execute warranty repairs, carry out preventative maintenance, and install new equipment.

• Deliver Remote Technical Support to designated top-tier customers.

• Offer start-up assistance for end-users receiving a new machine from an OEM equipped with a Nordson Packaging system.

• Prepare Corrective Action Reports for all warranty-related issues.

• Facilitate both formal and informal training sessions.

• Generate precise service reports/service tickets following customer visits in a timely manner.

• Responsible for auditing, documenting, and updating customer installed base line survey data for our database.

• Communicate any customer complaints regarding equipment performance to the assigned Field Service Supervisor.

• Engage in joint visits with the sales team, Field Service Supervisor, and other internal team members to support sales opportunities or gather customer feedback.

• Promote aftermarket parts or services (e.g. TrueBlue PM Program) to customers.

⛳️ Requirements

• A college degree in a Technical Program is preferred.

• Strong mechanical and electrical knowledge and understanding.

• In-depth knowledge of pneumatic and hydraulic systems/components.

• Proficient in reading and interpreting manuals, parts lists, component drawings, dimensional drawings, hydraulic and pneumatic schematics, electrical schematics, and wiring diagrams.

• Familiarity with common tools and equipment (e.g. Multi-Meter).

• Comfortable working with high-temperature, high-pressure, and high-voltage equipment (240VAC – 480VAC).

• Able to work independently onsite with tools to assist customers.

• At ease with upselling customers on new products and technologies.

• Possess effective, clear, and concise oral and written communication skills.

• Excellent computer proficiency: MS Office, Outlook, MS Teams, Concur, SAP, SAP C4C, and Concur.
