Field Service Technician

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Conducts a range of routine support tasks within the field service department.

• Tasked with diagnosing and repairing technical or mechanical failures of equipment in the field.

• Evaluates and addresses situations by following standard protocols to isolate and resolve issues with equipment.

• Documents design, reliability, and maintenance issues via field service management software.

• Performs troubleshooting and repairs on commercial and industrial floor cleaning equipment, either within the branch workshop or at customer locations.

• Completes all mandatory reporting of service activities, timesheets, and any other documentation as required by the Branch Supervisor.

• Ensures that all necessary training and certifications for the role are kept current and up to date.

• Maintains the spare parts inventory in the vehicle at designated levels.

⛳️ Requirements

• Associate's degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical institution.

• Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience and training, or a suitable combination of education and experience.

• At least 3 years of prior experience in a similar or related field.

• Outstanding communication and customer service abilities.

• Strong organizational and communication skills.

• Capable of working autonomously with minimal supervision.

• Proven product knowledge, ideally acquired through hands-on experience.

• Demonstrated proficiency in troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.

• Must have a solid understanding of internal combustion engines.

• Ability to read, comprehend, and adhere to electrical and hydraulic schematics.

• Proficient in the use of basic electrical testing and diagnostic tools.

• Comprehensive understanding of AC and DC electrical theory.

• Valid Driver’s License.

• DOT Certification.

• Proficient in reading, writing, and speaking English.

• Ability to interpret documents such as safety regulations, operating instructions, and maintenance manuals.

• Capability to write standard reports and correspondence.

• Effective communication skills in speaking before customers or employees of the organization.
