Field Service Technician

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.

📋 Description

• Oversee the maintenance and repair of Emergency Call Devices and other Knightscope systems deployed across various sites.

• Monitor system health and calibrate sensors, computing devices, radios, and power systems as necessary.

• Conduct diagnostics, carry out firmware updates, and ensure overall system health.

• Generate detailed reports on tasks completed and travel time incurred.

• Assist in field testing and live demonstrations by preparing, staging, and deploying Knightscope assets.

• Execute rapid troubleshooting and reconfiguration in dynamic testing environments.

• Keep meticulous records of equipment status, repairs, and system updates.

• Collaborate with the engineering team to refine platform designs and enhance reliability.

• Manage logistics for equipment and parts, including staging, transportation, and readiness for deployment.

• Contribute to the development of operational processes and safety standards as the organization scales.

• Safely operate and maintain company vehicles and field equipment in compliance with all relevant regulations.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proficient in working with hardware, tools, and testing equipment in the field.

• Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational abilities; capable of managing multiple systems and timelines.

• Clear communicator who can collaborate effectively across teams and meticulously document work to address various client needs.

• Comfortable with lifting and transporting equipment weighing up to 75 lbs.

• Ability to sit, stand, and climb for extended periods while operating lifts or ladders at elevated heights.

• Familiarity with computer systems and software is essential.

• Legal authorization to work in the United States is mandatory.

• Required to wear and correctly utilize all assigned safety gear and personal protective equipment (PPE).

• Must have and maintain a valid driver's license and successfully pass a Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) check.
