Field Service Technician

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Connecticut, +9 more states.

📋 Description

• Deliver remote technical assistance through phone and ticketing systems.

• Execute routine preventive maintenance tasks.

• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical system failures comprehensively.

• Prepare formal service quotes for customers.

• Perform thorough system testing and calibrations following repairs.

• Regularly manage individual service cases to achieve departmental metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs).

• Oversee travel schedules and expenses in accordance with ITW guidelines.

• Contribute to service growth within the region.

⛳️ Requirements

• An Associate's degree in Electronics, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field with 3–5 years of relevant experience, or a High School Diploma/GED with 5–7 years of field experience in electronic instrumentation maintenance and troubleshooting.

• Proven compliance with workplace safety standards and best practices.

• Strong diagnostic abilities and capacity to interpret mechanical drawings and electrical schematics.

• Skilled in using hand tools, machine tools, and precision measuring instruments.

• Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills, coupled with a professional demeanor.

• Adaptable and flexible with strong organizational capabilities; willing to work outside of standard business hours when necessary.

• Self-driven with the capability to take initiative, work independently, and resolve issues in a dynamic environment.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with Microsoft Navision and Dynamics CRM is advantageous.

• Must possess a valid driver's license with a clean driving record.

• Willingness to travel across the United States up to 70% of the time.
