This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
• Installation, maintenance, and testing of field equipment, following customer or manufacturer specifications and company protocols.
• Diagnose and rectify electrical, mechanical, and control system failures, including warranty repairs.
• Utilize a range of diagnostic tools to pinpoint issues and execute necessary fixes, such as replacing defective components, repairing wiring, and troubleshooting software problems.
• Conduct assembly, modifications, and comprehensive quality defect resolution for all IE products and equipment.
• May require occasional travel to support various locations across the country and potentially internationally.
• Complete receiving inspections alongside internal Regional Managers, subcontractors, and clients to safeguard IE from unwarranted warranty claims.
• Evaluate warranty claims and collaborate with the Regional Manager to ascertain the legitimacy of these claims.
• Implement preventative maintenance programs for a range of electrical and mechanical equipment to ensure peak performance and minimize downtime.
• Maintain compliance with documentation processes for all tasks undertaken, detailing the nature of issues, resolution steps, and parts utilized.
• Background in Electrical, Mechanical, Commissioning, or Assembly with a minimum of 3 years of experience, including at least three years in the field; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Must possess 1-2 years of business and contracting experience in a similar role, focusing on supplier agreements with general or subcontractors.
• Proficient in reading, analyzing, and interpreting technical manuals, purchase orders, and project part specifications.
• Capable of writing reports, business correspondence, and procedural manuals.
• Skilled in effectively presenting information and addressing inquiries from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public in a courteous and professional manner.
• Competent in performing calculations involving figures such as voltage drop, cable run calculations, square footage, volume, OHM's law, and battery runtime.
• Able to work efficiently with various customers, subcontractors, and a range of personalities.
• Proficient in solving practical problems with minimal guidance and navigating situations with limited standardization.
• Strong computer skills, with proficiency in MS Office Word, Excel, and MS Outlook.
• Possession of a Journeyman Electrician, HVAC, or Commissioning Certification or License from any state, or an Electrical Engineering or Technical Degree with relevant field experience.
