This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Massachusetts.
• Identifies, assesses, and implements necessary service orders, including repairs, scheduled maintenance, and installations within the designated service area.
• Understands the company's service agreements and ensures that maintenance and services are executed according to those agreements when applicable.
• Adheres to all relevant technical procedures in compliance with QSR requirements.
• Provides ongoing support to key customers through technical phone assistance, product installation, and field service support.
• Offers product feedback on any issues or trends identified in the field and contributes to solution development.
• Reports any discrepancies from established product quality standards and specifications to the appropriate internal team members.
• Informs the Supervisor, Field Service of any delays in scheduled services for further escalation.
• Ensures all necessary documentation, emails, vendor credentialing, expense reports, and training records are accurate and current; also ensures tools, supplies, and parts are well-maintained and adequately stocked.
• Reports all complaints encountered in the field in accordance with quality system requirements.
• Attends product-specific training sessions as needed.
• Encourages the acquisition of service agreements by informing customers of the range of services offered.
• A technical degree or higher in electronics or a related field is required.
• At least 5 years of technical experience with progressively increasing responsibilities; experience must be within the medical device or related healthcare industry (e.g., hospital biomedical engineer).
• Substantial experience in field service work is required.
• Must possess strong communication skills, both verbal and written, along with excellent facilitation abilities.
• Strong analytical skills are essential, along with the capability to convey complex information effectively; strong interpersonal skills are necessary for problem resolution.
• Must hold a valid driver's license, be in good standing, and have a satisfactory driving record.
• Excellent time management skills with a proven track record of meeting deadlines are required.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and delegate when necessary.
• Must be capable of working independently with minimal supervision.
• Demonstrated proficiency in computer skills is required; a strong preference for candidates with high proficiency in Microsoft Office products.
• Proficiency in service-related or inventory control software is required.
