Field Service Technician

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Maryland.

📋 Description

• Install, troubleshoot, and deliver technical maintenance for product and component hardware and software, primarily at customer locations.

• Conduct scheduled inspections, cleaning, minor repairs, and preventive maintenance within a designated territory.

• Examine products for proper operation and address issues or escalate them as per established protocols.

• Arrange services and complete necessary documentation.

• Collaborate with customers to guarantee satisfaction and clarity regarding product functionality.

• Diagnose hardware and software failures using diagnostic tools and thorough analysis.

• Carry out component-level hardware repairs and clean and adjust mechanical parts.

• Set up and install relevant software.

• Install, relocate, add, modify, and remove hardware and software products (IMAC/R).

• Educate and instruct customers on the use and operation of installed hardware and software.

• Engage in hardware and software training, KPI initiatives, and designated special projects.

⛳️ Requirements

• Required education or equivalent work experience.

• At least 1–2 years of relevant Field Services experience or a suitable combination of education and experience.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

• A valid driver's license and a driving record that meets Diebold Nixdorf fleet standards.

• Capability to diagnose hardware and software failures using diagnostic tools.

• Proficiency in performing component-level hardware repairs.

• Competence in configuring and installing relevant software.

• Ability to conduct preventive maintenance and routine checks following documented procedures.

• Skill in training customers on installed hardware and software.
