Field Service Technician

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Manages all service calls, performing diagnostic repairs and maintenance updates.

• Oversees the inventory of spare parts.

• Responsible for the upkeep and maintenance of a company service vehicle.

• Maintains extensive knowledge of Clever Devices' electronic and computerized systems, along with associated software.

• Regularly configures, repairs, maintains, updates, and installs Clever Devices equipment.

• Acts as the primary contact at customer locations for all service-related inquiries.

• Anticipates and troubleshoots potential issues to ensure consistent quality for customers.

• Proactively communicates trends in repairs and maintenance to the supervisor.

• Documents all service repairs, maintenance actions, and updates in a log.

• Ensures that all repairs and maintenance meet customer satisfaction.

• Works on-site at customer facilities or the Transit Authority, upholding the business etiquette standards of Clever Devices.

• Guarantees a clean work environment, whether at customer facilities or the Transit Authority.

• This position may require weekend, overnight, and on-call shifts.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 3 years’ experience as a mechanical service technician.

• Hands-on experience with electronic systems and computer technology.

• Familiarity with networking and software applications.

• A clean driving record that is consistently maintained for insurability purposes.

• Exceptional troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.

• Proficient computer skills, including a working knowledge of MS Office applications such as Word and Excel, and the capability to master new programs like Axapta or specific customer software.

• Strong organizational capabilities.

• Good interpersonal communication skills.

• Excellent time management skills.

• An A.A.S or equivalent qualification.

• Willingness to travel up to 75% as needed.
