This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
• Execute installation, commissioning, troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and repair of ABB Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs).
• Conduct preparatory tasks related to spare parts, testing of tools and equipment, and necessary documentation.
• Deliver detailed and thorough service reports promptly and provide follow-ups as necessary.
• Coordinate efforts with related teams to efficiently meet objectives, ensuring customer satisfaction.
• Communicate effectively and present information to senior management, customers, vendors, and other organizational employees.
• Actively participate in providing feedback on product quality issues to help minimize warranty expenses.
• Associate degree in a technical field with 3 years of relevant experience, or a High School diploma/GED with 5 years of relevant experience, or military education/experience is required.
• A valid driver’s license is essential.
• Must have authorization to work in the United States.
• Strong ability to communicate across all organizational levels, from field technicians to senior management.
• Proficient in reading, writing, and speaking English.
• Willingness to travel approximately 70% of the time.
• Preferred: Experience with Medium Voltage drives and power electronics.
• Knowledge of motors, transformers, switchgear, and industrial communication protocols.
• Capability to interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, assembly drawings, and technical documentation.
• Prior Field Service experience is an advantage.
