
Field Service Supervisor – Electron Microscopy

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Australia.
• Lead, coach, mentor, and develop a team of Field Service Engineers.
• Plan and coordinate field service operations, resource allocation, and client support.
• Monitor operational performance, productivity, and key performance indicators (KPIs).
• Provide technical direction and escalation support for intricate electron microscopy installations, maintenance, and repairs.
• Cultivate and sustain customer relationships while ensuring their satisfaction.
• Collaborate with Sales, Applications, Technical Support, and Operations teams.
• Ensure adherence to quality systems, safety regulations, and compliance standards.
• Assist in workforce planning, recruitment, onboarding, training, and performance management.
• Identify and execute process enhancements to improve service efficiency.
• Foster a culture of continuous learning, collaboration, accountability, and customer-centricity.
• Advanced Degree with a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience, or a Bachelor's Degree with at least 5 years of technical field service experience.
• Degree in Electronic, Mechanical, Mechatronic Engineering, Physics, or another related technical field.
• At least 2 years of leadership or supervisory experience overseeing technical service teams.
• Experience in supporting electron microscopy or other advanced analytical or scientific instruments is highly desirable.
• Proficiency in troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing complex electromechanical systems.
• Capability to establish strong customer relationships and deliver outstanding service results.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational abilities.
• Experience in coaching, developing, and motivating technical teams.
• Familiarity with service management systems, CRM platforms, and Microsoft Office applications.
• Knowledge of quality management systems, safety standards, and regulatory compliance requirements.
• Experience managing service performance through KPIs and driving continuous improvement initiatives.
• Strong project management and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
• Valid driver's license and a willingness to travel up to 50%.
• Ability to safely lift up to 50 lbs (23 kg) with assistance and perform field-based service activities.
