Field Service Specialist – Midwest

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.

📋 Description

• Oversee the initiation and commissioning of Armstrong equipment, such as Variable Frequency Drives and Control Panels.

• Troubleshoot and resolve equipment problems related to pumps, automated valves, and other systems.

• Record field activities through the online portal.

• Deliver on-site training to operators, service and installation teams, as well as mechanical contractors.

• Convey field service insights to the After Sales team.

• Cultivate strong client relationships and pinpoint opportunities for additional sales.

• Travel throughout the Western region up to 60% of the time, with occasional trips to other areas of the USA.

• Address service requests, complaints, and startup inquiries through calls and emails.

• Organize and oversee service visits.

• Engage in after-hours on-call rotation.

• Compile and review field reports to confirm equipment performance and warranty compliance.

• Aid in connecting site equipment to the Internet or customer networks.

• Collaborate with engineering, project management, and sales teams on product development and project-specific initiatives.

• Identify and report product issues while contributing to process and design enhancements.

⛳️ Requirements

• A degree or certification in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, Applied Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

• Proficiency with Drives, control panels, BAS systems, and automation technologies.

• Knowledge of serial communications is an advantage.

• Demonstrated experience with mechanical pumps and HVAC systems.

• Strong skills in MS Office and other software applications.

• Experience in commercial construction is preferred.

• Comprehensive understanding of electrical and mechanical equipment.

• Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities.

• Familiarity with hydronic HVAC systems, Variable Frequency Drives, automation, and Building Automation Controls is desirable.
