This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia.
• Execute on-site and/or assist with remote installations of CoolIT products.
• Perform both preventative and corrective maintenance on direct liquid cooling (DLC) systems.
• Interpret and analyze blueprints and technical drawings when necessary.
• Provide technical assistance to ASP or End-User on-site technicians, including those overseeing Tier 3 and 4 data centers.
• Offer Plumbing and HVAC advice to internal teams (e.g., Lab Technicians, Engineers, Product Managers, Sales, Production).
• Cultivate subject matter expertise in CoolIT’s product offerings.
• Conduct training sessions for customers, service technicians, and internal personnel (both in-person and remotely).
• Adhere to established service protocols to diagnose and resolve issues, coordinating with Authorized Service Providers as required.
• Ensure adherence to relevant environmental, health, and safety standards.
• Complete precise service documentation, including reports and system testing records.
• Organize and facilitate field service visits with end-users and Authorized Service Providers.
• Assist the Project Engineering team by obtaining and securing accurate quotes from Authorized Service Providers.
• At least 3 years of experience in a Service Specialist or a comparable technical role, with a solid understanding of project workflows and project management skills.
• Journeyman Certification in pipe trades (Plumbing, HVAC, Steam Fitting, etc.) with strong expertise in hydronics preferred.
• In-depth knowledge and comprehension of Technical Cooling System Loops, including various loop configurations.
• Experience in mission-critical environments is essential.
• Proficient in various piping materials and joining techniques: plastic fusion, Victaulic piping, along with corresponding clamping and torquing requirements.
• Competent in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel); capable of documenting work in accordance with established processes.
• Excellent professional communication abilities—both verbal and written (English).
• Must possess a valid RealID compliant driver’s license with a clean driving record and a valid passport (eligible for international travel and security screenings).
• Physically capable of frequent heavy lifting (up to 150 lbs between two people) and working remotely in an adequate home setup.
• Willing to travel internationally up to 65% of the time (subject to restrictions).
