This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.
• Oversee the startup and commissioning of Armstrong equipment, which includes Variable Frequency Drives and Control Panels.
• Troubleshoot and repair pumps, automated valves, and various other equipment.
• Record fieldwork activities through the online portal.
• Deliver on-site training sessions for operators.
• Convey field service insights to the After Sales team.
• Cultivate customer relationships and illustrate the benefits of Armstrong products.
• Recognize opportunities for additional sales.
• Travel within the Western region up to 60% of the time, with occasional trips to other areas of the USA.
• Address service requests, complaints, and startup inquiries via phone and email.
• Organize and oversee service visits.
• Participate in an after-hours on-call rotation.
• Train service and installation teams as well as mechanical contractors.
• Compile and evaluate field reports regarding equipment performance and warranty compliance.
• Assist in connecting site equipment to the Internet or customer networks.
• Collaborate with engineering, project management, and sales teams.
• Identify and report product issues while contributing to process and design enhancements.
• A degree or designation in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, Applied Engineering, or a related field, along with relevant practical experience.
• Familiarity with drives, control panels, BAS systems, and automation.
• Knowledge of serial communications is advantageous.
• Demonstrated experience with mechanical pumps and HVAC systems.
• Proficient in MS Office with strong software skills.
• Experience in commercial construction is preferred.
• Comprehensive understanding of electrical and mechanical equipment.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities.
• Knowledge of hydronic HVAC systems, Variable Frequency Drives, automation, and Building Automation Controls is preferred.
• Willingness and capability to travel within the Western region up to 60% of the time and occasionally to other locations in the USA.
• Ability to participate in an after-hours on-call rotation.
