Field Service Engineer – Vascular

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Ensure the performance and reliability of advanced systems such as Coroflow and OPTIS by installing, maintaining, and repairing equipment that aids patient care.

• Act as a vital technical resource, delivering high-quality service and training to healthcare professionals while working with cross-functional teams to enhance customer satisfaction and operational excellence.

• Execute installations, emergency repairs, and preventative maintenance on Abbott’s Vascular Division instrumentation.

• Conduct technology installation, configuration, connectivity, calibration, safety/functional testing, emergency repairs, preventative maintenance, and product updates at customer sites related to the Vascular product lines.

• Provide in-service training to clinicians on the utilization of Abbott Vascular technology platforms and accessories, specifically focusing on Coroflow and OPTIS systems.

• Establish and maintain an active communication link with CSC personnel, offering daily support for all territories as needed.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree in life sciences (Nursing, Biomedical Engineering, Biology, or Chemistry) is mandatory.

• 1 to 3 years of experience in an electrophysiology or cardiology lab is required.

• Proven familiarity with cardiac catheterization lab procedures and protocols.

• Capability to understand and adhere to company policies and relevant industry laws and regulations.

• Proficient personal computing skills, with the ability to perform word processing and spreadsheet tasks for documentation, presentation, and analysis activities.

• Capacity to work independently as well as collaboratively within a diverse cross-functional team environment.

• Exceptional interpersonal, analytical, and communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical issues in a mentorship role.

• Willingness to travel up to 75%.
