Field Service Engineer – Remote

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Minnesota.

📋 Description

• Execute installations, maintenance, validations, and repairs while ensuring adherence to PerkinElmer’s service standards and key performance indicators.

• Collaborate with customers to gain insights into their analytical workflows and customize service offerings, including training, support, and upgrades.

• Improve account profitability through effective service execution and by identifying revenue opportunities such as billable work, consumables, and service leads.

• Manage assigned assets, including tools, test equipment (MTE), telecommunication equipment, and service parts inventory.

• Contribute to enhancing PerkinElmer’s product quality by proactively reporting improvement opportunities through the quality notification process.

⛳️ Requirements

• BA Bachelor’s Degree in Applied Science, Biology, Chemistry, Electronics, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related field, including military experience, plus 3 years of direct experience in laboratory equipment repair; OR an Associate Degree in the same fields with 5 years of direct experience; OR a High School Diploma with 7+ years of direct experience in laboratory equipment repair.

• Strong technical critical thinking skills and meticulous attention to detail.

• Exceptional customer service abilities, along with the capacity to listen to and interpret client requests.

• Proficient in MS Office applications: Outlook, PowerPoint, Word.

• Willingness to travel by air, vehicle, and/or other means of transportation as required by business needs, with travel typically up to 50% of the time depending on territory requirements and/or customer base.
