This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.
• This is a hands-on, field-based position focused on repairing parcel lockers at client locations. Responsibilities include break-fix tasks, maintenance, software configuration, quality control, and offering technical support and training to both employees and subcontractors.
• Responsible for diagnosing and repairing faults and malfunctions in parcel locker machines (APMs) on-site, ensuring minimal downtime and peak performance.
• Tasked with the maintenance and modernization of parcel locker machines, which involves implementing hardware and software upgrades to improve reliability and efficiency.
• Conducting diagnostics, reconfiguration, and installation of computer software or firmware for computer, electronic, and electromechanical equipment, while ensuring compatibility and compliance with security standards.
• Reporting and processing assigned repairs through the organization's communication channels.
• Managing tools and components associated with parcel locker machines.
• Overseeing systems that handle personnel-related matters.
• Ensuring quality control of work carried out by internal staff and subcontractors, maintaining adherence to technical standards, contractual agreements, and company guidelines.
• Providing technical and substantive support to employees and subcontractors (including those based internationally) through communication and IT channels utilized within the company.
• Engaging in the development of solutions for new types of parcel locker machines.
• Preparing and revising technical manuals and documentation.
• Relevant experience in a field service technical engineering role involving electrical and mechanical equipment.
• Skilled in the use of hand tools and diagnostic equipment (such as multi-meters).
• Proficient in diagnosing and repairing equipment, with a solid background in software configuration and firmware updates.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting abilities for addressing complex technical challenges.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, capable of delivering technical training.
• Competent in managing tasks efficiently, ensuring quality while meeting deadlines across various markets.
• High level of accuracy in quality control and documentation updates.
• Experience collaborating with diverse teams, including international subcontractors and internal personnel.
• Willingness to travel for service and training events, both within the UK and occasionally abroad.
• Familiarity with parcel locker systems or similar electromechanical devices, as well as organizational IT tools.
• Strong time management skills and a responsible approach to handling tools and components.
