This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
• Install, maintain, and resolve issues with computers.
• Develop documentation for customer projects.
• Set up and configure systems.
• Perform maintenance on servers and networks.
• Support end users on client-side issues.
• Engage in hardware and software rollouts, lease upgrades, and critical projects to ensure technology readiness.
• Oversee and monitor the status of server backups.
• Address user needs and inquiries.
• Contribute to initiatives with deliverables that meet quality standards and deadlines.
• Lead cross-functional projects, ensuring deliverables meet quality standards and are completed on time.
• Create System Design Documents.
• Estimate efforts for system-level and enterprise solutions.
• Complete individual tasks punctually and guide the task delivery for natural or cross-functional teams.
• Design, develop, and implement complex business rules.
• Responsible for addressing end-user requests.
• Provide off-hours coverage and emergency support as required.
• Maintain an inventory of all electronic components.
• Regularly operate under deadlines and may experience high workloads.
• Occasionally offer guidance and assist in training less experienced personnel.
• Work independently.
• High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
• At least 5 years of demonstrated hands-on experience in network engineering.
• Willingness to travel for daily local commutes.
• Strong understanding of various infrastructure and networking methodologies.
• Technically adept in switching, routing, security policies (firewalls), and load balancing technologies.
• Strong emphasis on network security and segmentation.
• Comprehensive knowledge of networking protocols (e.g., IPSEC, HSRP, BGP, OSPF, 802.11, QoS).
• Solid comprehension of the OSI or TCP/IP model.
• Excellent business insight.
• Strong organizational abilities and capability to prioritize a high volume of incoming requests effectively.
• Flexibility to work on an adaptable schedule, including occasional Saturdays and evenings.
• Exceptional communication and facilitation skills.
• Outstanding customer service skills with a strong sense of urgency.
• Practical experience with monitoring, network diagnostics, and network analytics tools.
• Proficiency with Cisco Catalyst switches, Cisco Nexus switches, Cisco ASA-X Firewalls, Cisco FTD Firewalls with IDS/IPS & FMC, Cisco ISR4451-X, F5 BIGIP I Series Load Balancers, and Aruba Wireless Infrastructure (IAP).
