This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Carolina.
• Serve as a representative for Oxford Instruments by providing exceptional technical support, installation, and maintenance for plasma etch and deposition systems.
• Oversee the installation and commissioning of cutting-edge plasma etch and deposition systems, guaranteeing adherence to customer specifications and cleanroom standards.
• Carry out scheduled and emergency maintenance with accuracy.
• Foster trust and long-term relationships through effective communication and practical training.
• Address intricate hardware and software challenges using specialized tools and offer remote assistance as necessary.
• Calibrate essential components and implement performance-improving upgrades to ensure peak system reliability and throughput.
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Physics, or a related technical discipline.
• 5–7 years of field service experience within the semiconductor sector, particularly in plasma etch and deposition systems.
• Practical experience with vacuum technologies, including turbo pumps, cryo pumps, and roughing pumps.
• Proficient in troubleshooting 208V electrical systems and 24V control subsystems.
• Experienced with diagnostic tools such as vacuum leak detectors, RF power meters, DVMs, LCR meters, multimeters, and megohm meters.
• Strong knowledge of RF theory and inductively coupled plasma (ICP) systems.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record, a passport, and the ability to travel independently.
• Should be physically agile and comfortable working in confined or awkward spaces.
• Able to lift and handle equipment weighing up to 50 lbs independently.
