Field Service Engineer I

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Serve as a representative for Oxford Instruments by providing exceptional technical support, installation, and maintenance for plasma etch and deposition systems.

• Oversee the installation and commissioning of state-of-the-art plasma etch and deposition systems.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Physics, or a related technical discipline.

• 3–5 years of experience in field service within the semiconductor sector, particularly focusing on plasma etch and deposition systems.

• Practical experience with vacuum technologies, including turbo pumps, cryo pumps, and roughing pumps.

• Expertise in troubleshooting 208V electrical systems and 24V control subsystems.

• Proficient in using diagnostic tools such as vacuum leak detectors, RF power meters, digital voltmeters (DVMs), etc.

• Solid understanding of RF theory and inductively coupled plasma (ICP) systems.

• Must possess a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record, a passport, and the ability to travel independently.
