Field Service Engineer – Cryogenic Storage Systems

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Diagnose and resolve customer issues while ensuring adherence to our service agreements at client locations throughout the UK and other European areas.

• Conduct maintenance tasks on equipment and systems, which includes software and hardware installations, upgrades, diagnostics, repairs, and preventive maintenance.

• Examine issues, investigate and document root causes and corrective measures, and monitor system performance.

• Offer operational assistance for customer-managed samples, such as helping with sample transfers and transitioning from manual to automated storage systems.

• Engage and cooperate with global teams to accomplish tasks efficiently.

• Prepare and submit necessary documentation, which includes service reports and status updates.

• Address occasional emergency call-outs in cases of equipment failures, production line issues, or other escalations.

• Manage loaner equipment.

• Assist with organizational and administrative duties like preparing quotes or coordinating the shipment of loaner or customer equipment.

⛳️ Requirements

• Completed vocational training or a Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline or a related field.

• Practical experience in the maintenance or construction of electrical systems, machinery, or automation equipment.

• Strong knowledge of electrical and mechanical safety protocols.

• Proficient in English, both written and spoken.

• Additional language skills are a plus.

• Experience in determining root causes of equipment malfunctions and performing structured troubleshooting.

• Valid driver's license (car).

• Strong computer skills and familiarity with Windows/DOS-based operating systems.

• Willingness to travel frequently, both within the country and internationally, including occasional short-notice trips or assignments on weekends/holidays. A valid passport for international travel is required.
