Field Service Engineer, Chromatography

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Switzerland.

📋 Description

• Collaborate with team members in the customer care center to effectively schedule service visits and surpass customer expectations.

• Install chromatography products, showcase instrument specifications, and provide training for customer familiarization.

• Conduct preventive maintenance, qualifications, troubleshooting, and failure analysis, ensuring adherence to regulatory standards and internal procedures.

• Foster strong customer relationships and contribute to achieving service performance targets.

• Prepare comprehensive service documentation that complies with regulatory standards.

• Support service objectives related to bookings, revenue, profitability, and cost management.

• Adhere to all internal service protocols and customer regulations.

• Develop and maintain robust professional relationships with customers.

• Oversee company assets, including inventory, tools, software, and the company vehicle.

• Coordinate service planning with dispatchers, team leaders, and other relevant stakeholders.

• Travel extensively throughout Switzerland and occasionally internationally across EMEA and the United States.

⛳️ Requirements

• Technical education or a background in chemistry.

• A valid driving license.

• Experience with chromatography systems (HPLC / IC) is preferred.

• 2–3 years of experience in servicing chromatography products or working as a user is advantageous.

• Background in customer-facing technical support environments is beneficial.

• Curiosity about analytical instruments, systems, applications, new products, and technologies.

• Proficient in German with a good command of the English language.

• Strong knowledge of hardware and software, particularly Windows operating systems and Microsoft Office applications.

• Excellent problem-solving capabilities.

• Proven organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.

• Exceptional interpersonal skills, self-motivation, and negotiation abilities.

• Willingness and enthusiasm for frequent travel.
