Field Service Engineer – Chromatography

📋 Description

• Execute Field Service responsibilities in accordance with internal policies, customer guidelines, and health and safety protocols.

• Provide specialized product support primarily for Chromatography instruments (80%).

• Operate remotely to deliver on-site services that surpass customer expectations, ensuring that clients advocate for our business through positive feedback.

• Foster a high level of professional rapport with our customer base, promptly addressing technical issues to expedite the resolution of critical tasks.

• Adhere to our ethical business conduct standards.

• Facilitate customer success through collaboration with Thermo Fisher Scientific.

• Utilize online sales lead tracking tools to ensure customers are presented with the products and services they need to achieve their goals (5%).

• Streamline personal work schedule by coordinating with all necessary partners for service planning (Dispatch function, Team Leader, Manager) (5%).

• Manage company assets, including parts inventory, laptop, mobile device, test equipment (ensuring validation and calibration), tools, software, and company car (5%).

• Ensure timely and accurate reporting of activities, including field service and expense reports (5%).

⛳️ Requirements

• Educational background in Chemistry, Physics, Electronics, Engineering, or related fields.

• A minimum of 1-3 years of experience in servicing analytical equipment.

• Relevant experience as an applications specialist or end user will also be regarded as valuable.

• Familiarity with Liquid, Ion, or Gas Chromatography is advantageous, though not essential.

• Strong problem-solving capabilities.

• Ability to manage multiple tasks with varying priorities.

• Exceptional interpersonal, self-motivational, and negotiation skills.

• Proficient in PC literacy.

• Possession of a valid Ireland Driving Licence.

• Willingness and ability to travel five days a week within the designated territory, Monday to Friday, with occasional overnight stays.

• Proficient English communication skills, both verbal and written.

• Capability to work across all levels, functions, and regions.
