Field Service Engineer – Cargo Inspection System

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Netherlands.

📋 Description

• Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance on high-energy scanning systems.

• Perform site audits, oversee spare-parts inventory, and assist in enhancing system performance.

• Aid in the installation of new systems, encompassing both factory and on-site commissioning.

• Deliver on-call and remote technical support on a rotational basis.

• Participate in the ongoing improvement of service operations, documentation, and overall customer satisfaction.

• Ensure compliance with EHS standards and company quality protocols.

⛳️ Requirements

• Educational background or qualifications in engineering (i.e., MBO 4 level in electrical, mechanical, electronics) or equivalent experience.

• Proven experience as a Field Service Engineer (installation, maintenance, repair) with a strong customer service focus.

• Proficient in electrical/electromechanical troubleshooting, diagnostics, and schematic interpretation.

• Familiarity with PLC systems, automation, sensors, actuators, and principles of radiation safety.

• Basic knowledge of networking concepts (TCP/IP, VLAN, routing, switches, firewalls).

• Competent in Windows environments, diagnostic tools, and remote-support software.

• Excellent analytical skills, self-sufficiency, initiative, and customer-centric approach.

• Proficient in both spoken and written English and Dutch languages.
