• Configure and provide support for ZTR control systems leveraging advanced PLC expertise.
• Execute on-site commissioning and conduct thorough troubleshooting of ZTR equipment.
• Deliver technical training to customers at their locations.
• Collaborate with and offer assistance to the sales team as necessary.
• Engage in project coordination and management activities as required.
• Travel both domestically and internationally, approximately 15%–30%, including travel within the U.S.
• A minimum of a 3-year diploma in Electronic Engineering Technology, or a Professional Engineer designation, or a valid electrician license.
• Strong aptitude for troubleshooting electrical control systems and locomotive electrical systems.
• Proficient in advanced PLC programming and configuration.
• Familiarity with industrial communication protocols (e.g., Modbus).
• Basic to intermediate understanding of Ethernet networking, including LANs, WANs, VPNs, and Wi-Fi.
• Proficient with standard computer applications (e.g., Microsoft Office).
• Capability to manage multiple priorities, adhere to deadlines, and work independently.
• Strong judgment and decision-making skills, especially in high-pressure scenarios.
• Excellent customer service and conflict resolution abilities.
• Hands-on technical experience is a prerequisite.
• Preference will be given to candidates with locomotive and/or freight railway experience.
