Field Service Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Accountable for managing customer relationships by addressing client inquiries, complaints, service calls, and site evaluations on instrumentation within specified timeframes.

• Oversees scheduling tasks independently, which includes travel arrangements, client site appointments, and coordinating the order and delivery of parts.

• Facilitates and implements hardware upgrades along with regulatory documentation related to the client site.

• Works in conjunction with the project team to conduct software upgrades and product installations, encompassing installation, operational, and performance qualifications.

• Guarantees a smooth transition of the project timeline to the Technical Application Team.

• Proactively and autonomously handles ongoing preventive maintenance calls as per manufacturer requirements, including scheduling with clients and documenting work in the CRM according to regulatory guidelines within designated timeframes.

⛳️ Requirements

• Equivalent military experience or an Associate Degree with 2 years of experience, or a High School Diploma/GED with over 4 years of experience in managing electronic/electro-mechanical equipment.

• A Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or a related Scientific Discipline is strongly preferred.

• 0 to 2 years of experience with lab equipment and/or electronic/electro-mechanical equipment for candidates holding a Bachelor’s Degree.

• 2 to 4 years of experience working with lab equipment and/or electronic/electro-mechanical equipment for those with an Associate Degree.

• Over 4 years of experience in working with lab equipment and/or electronic/electro-mechanical equipment for candidates with a High School Diploma.

• Previous experience in a regulated environment is highly preferred.

• Familiarity with the Service Max/Sales Force platform is an advantage.
