Field Service Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.

📋 Description

• Conduct timely and precise preventative maintenance on medical equipment within a hospital or healthcare system to ensure optimal healthcare service delivery to patients.

• Troubleshoot and perform basic service repairs on customer equipment.

• Support more experienced field engineers in equipment installations and more complex repair tasks.

• Actively collaborate with team members to ensure the best solutions for customers.

• Foster relationships with customers, ensuring prompt communication, resolution, and proper follow-up to enhance customer satisfaction.

• Comply with company policies, procedures, and hospital protocols to meet regulatory and compliance requirements, ensuring daily documentation of all work performed, including debriefings and parts ordering.

• Collaborate with the customer and/or sales team to propose value-added services that enhance the efficiency of the customer's operations.

• Utilize the GEHC escalation process when necessary, working closely with regional and national support teams to define and implement corrective action plans for resolving customer issues.

⛳️ Requirements

• Associate degree in a related field or equivalent military education with 2 years of experience in servicing electronic equipment.

• Alternatively, a high school diploma/GED with 4 years of relevant experience.

• Or a graduate of the GEHC Apprentice Program.

• Must possess and maintain a valid Driver’s License.

• Proficient in web applications as well as the Microsoft suite of products.

• Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required.

• Availability for after-hours work and/or participation in a rotating on-call schedule, including weekends.

• Proven ability to manage multiple competing priorities while ensuring customer satisfaction.
