This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Massachusetts.
• Oversee, execute, and document all on-site installation, repairs, calibrations, preventative maintenance, inspections, and testing activities for BLI instrumentation in a detailed and timely manner.
• Capable of adjusting coordinates, modifying spectrometer parameters, and replacing components as necessary.
• Identify alarms, errors, or technical/mechanical issues and implement appropriate solutions.
• Conduct and document system validation (IQ/OQ/PQ).
• Triage, schedule, and offer customer support via telephone, email, or in-person visits.
• Collaborate and communicate effectively with customers, project teams, engineering teams, sales personnel, and others.
• Prioritize and plan work activities to maximize the efficient use of available time.
• Provide feedback and suggestions for products under development.
• Document tasks completed at customer locations using Gator’s CRM system.
• Record all customer visits and create new service-related documents.
• Report quality concerns to Gator’s QMS and complete tasks promptly.
• Represent Gator Bio positively to foster or enhance customer relationships.
• Prepare and submit accurate expense reports in a timely manner.
• Perform all other job duties as assigned.
• A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in bioengineering, engineering, optical engineering, or a related field.
• At least three years of hands-on experience in instrumentation service.
• Proficient in troubleshooting, testing, repairing, and servicing technical and mechanical equipment.
• Flexible in adapting to changes in work schedules and adjusting travel plans as needed.
• Basic wet lab skills (e.g., pipetting, creating dilutions, etc.) are highly desirable.
• Familiarity with IQ/OQ/PQ processes is a plus.
• Exceptional interpersonal and verbal communication skills.
• Highly organized and capable of working independently.
