Field Service Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Deliver remote and on-site assistance for both pre-sales and post-sales activities.

• Analyze issues and formulate effective solutions to resolve them.

• Install, maintain, and repair Bio-techne Spatial instrumentation.

• Grasp all technical facets of the product.

• Conduct basic staining assays on the setup for protocol testing (Training will be provided).

• Recognize customer issues and relay customer feedback.

• Pursue results by consistently meeting objectives and striving to complete tasks by their deadlines.

• Ensure all service documentation is current.

• Willingness to travel frequently on short notice (up to 85% travel).

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in field service engineering within life sciences, research/diagnostics, or medical devices (other sectors may be considered).

• Relevant qualifications in Microsystems, Mechanical Engineering, Bioengineering, Electrical Engineering, or Microscopy Optics.

• Practical experience in fundamental laboratory techniques is preferred.

• Proficient in troubleshooting and root cause analysis.

• IT support experience for both software and hardware is advantageous.

• Capability to meet the physical demands of the role, including handling heavy, complex devices and working in confined spaces.

• Proficiency in both spoken and written English is mandatory.

• Additional language skills are beneficial.

• A valid driving license is required.
