Field Service Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New Jersey.

📋 Description

• Install, initiate, maintain, and repair IWK equipment on-site, ensuring comprehensive documentation.

• Diagnose issues related to mechanical, electrical, and control systems; deliver thorough service reports along with corrective actions.

• Enhance equipment performance through precise adjustments and process modifications.

• Collaborate with engineering teams to relay field data and facilitate product enhancements.

• Act as the primary technical representative, upholding professional communication and fostering customer relationships.

• Investigate customer complaints, identify underlying causes, and propose effective solutions.

• Educate customers on equipment operation, preventive maintenance, and troubleshooting techniques.

• Strategically plan and execute daily work schedules for optimal efficiency.

⛳️ Requirements

• An associate’s degree in Electro-Mechanical Technology, Mechatronics, Factory Automation, or a related discipline is preferred.

• A minimum of 5 years of practical experience in mechanical/electrical settings, preferably with automated or packaging systems.

• Military veterans possessing equivalent technical training and field experience are strongly encouraged to apply.

• Demonstrated proficiency in servicing automated machinery (mechanical, electrical, controls).

• Experience with Schneider Electric control systems and function block programming is highly valued.

• Basic knowledge of PLC logic and HMI interfaces required.

• Ability to interpret electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, and pneumatic diagrams.

• Familiarity with remote troubleshooting tools (such as TeamViewer, NetSupport Manager).

• Strong proficiency in English, both written and verbal.

• Skilled in Microsoft Office Suite.

• Comfortable working remotely using VPN, intranet, and cloud-based applications.

• Excellent interpersonal skills with a customer-centric approach.

• Capacity to work autonomously and manage multiple tasks effectively.

• A valid passport and driver’s license are essential. Willingness to travel up to 80%, including international assignments.
