Field Service Engineer

📋 Description

• Oversee the installation, testing, commissioning, maintenance, and repair of low voltage distribution systems, transformers, and associated power distribution equipment in a professional manner.

• Generate technical reports/test sheets while monitoring spare parts, tools/equipment, consumables, and more.

• Uphold and adhere to safety regulations for the company and specific job sites.

• Participate in all relevant site meetings.

• Collaborate with Project Management and Site personnel.

• Deliver exceptional customer service to clients, actively listening to their needs and, if necessary, escalating their concerns within our organization for resolution.

• Maintain regular communication with Project Managers to receive and relay pertinent information.

• Proactively seek to eliminate waste and enhance value in all processes.

• Comply with all applicable health and safety regulations and engage in safe work practices.

• Follow company policies and guidelines.

• Perform additional duties as assigned.

⛳️ Requirements

• An Associate's degree in electrical power distribution or a related field, along with 5+ years of relevant work experience.

• Military experience is a plus.

• Experience in Data Centers or other equivalent mission-critical systems is preferred.

• Proven experience with electrical power distribution systems, power monitoring systems, AC/DC electrical power, and communication protocols.

• Preferred experience of three to five years in designing low voltage switchgear assemblies/systems and/or power distribution equipment.

• Familiarity with UL Standards, including but not limited to UL67 Panelboards, UL1008 Transfer Switch Equipment, UL10008S Static Transfer Switches, UL60950 Information Technology Equipment, UL 891 Switchboards, and UL 1558 Metal-Enclosed Low-Voltage Power Circuit Breaker Switchgear, along with other relevant standards.

• Proficient in reading and interpreting electrical schematics.

• Capable of using testing equipment, including multimeters, current meters, and related devices.
