This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ohio.
• A Field Service Engineer operates either independently or alongside more seasoned engineers to conduct inspections, tune equipment, perform operational audits, and carry out pre-commissioning testing on boilers and environmental systems, while also drafting estimates and proposals.
• Gathering and analyzing field data.
• Collaborating with customers, account executives, vendors, and subcontractors under the guidance of the District Engineer or senior engineer.
• Compiling technical reports, including service and specialized reports.
• Contributing as a member of commissioning teams during project initiations.
• Executing site activities such as boiler inspections, condition evaluations, and assessments of boiler operations.
• Offering technical support for construction and managing outages.
• Assisting in the preparation of estimates and proposals for equipment enhancements.
• A minimum of a High School Diploma or GED, Vocational/Technical, or Associate’s Degree, or alternatively, 8+ years of relevant experience.
• Proven problem-solving abilities.
• Strong communication skills.
• Willingness and ability to travel.
• Authority to make decisions or solve problems with minimal supervisory oversight.
• Capability to assess equipment requirements at customer locations, including conducting walk-downs and inspections of operational equipment.
• Ability to troubleshoot malfunctioning equipment at customer sites.
• Domestic travel required 90% of the time.
• Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs.
• Must be able to push and pull up to 10 lbs.
