This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colorado.
• Oversee all AGFA imaging equipment within the designated territory.
• Promptly troubleshoot and repair, conduct preventative maintenance, and implement field service bulletins.
• Support fellow Field Service Engineers (FSE) outside of the territory when necessary.
• Provide insights on technology performance, reliability, serviceability, service quality, and design concerns to the US DR product team.
• Collaborate directly with the Project Management and Installation Team to plan, carry out, and assess installations.
• Partner with the sales team to identify DR prospects and offer technical support during pre-sales and post-sales activities.
• Cultivate a strong working relationship with customers to aid in new AGFA sales.
• Handle the installation, remedial, and preventive maintenance of Agfa DR support and x-ray room experiences, as well as other OEM products for which training has been provided.
• Review the operational functionality of DR/IMAGING equipment with customers to fulfill training obligations during installations.
• Execute DR/IMAGING and x-ray room experiences.
• Deliver immediate responses and swift resolutions to hardware and software issues.
• Develop solutions for DR/x-ray room technical problems by interfacing with hospital systems.
• Ensure maximum uptime, performance, and efficiency of all Agfa systems in DR/IMAGING.
• Install software and hardware, and perform performance analysis as required for DR and imaging.
• Identify DR/IMAGING issues, validate system defects, and then apply fixes, workarounds, or other suitable resolutions.
• Initiate and adhere to all escalation processes regarding DR/IMAGING issues.
• Bachelor’s Degree in a technical field.
• MCSE, Network +, and CIIP Certifications are advantageous.
• A minimum of 5 years of prior direct field experience in a technical customer support role, specifically with traditional x-ray rooms, digital x-ray equipment, and computed radiography (CR) systems.
• Preferred 2 to 3 years of experience in a specialist or expert role related to x-ray technology.
• Some experience with PACS, RIS, and EMR systems is desirable.
• Experience with electronic and electromechanical systems is required.
• In-depth knowledge of DR support, x-ray room experiences, networking, and operating systems (UNIX and Windows), databases (Oracle and SQL), remote connectivity, security, and digital medical image processing.
• Familiarity with Agfa software or similar industry solutions, with a demonstrated ability to learn cutting-edge technologies.
• Proficient computer skills, including MS Office, Lotus Notes, and internet-based knowledge management systems.
• Exceptional oral, written, and interpersonal communication abilities.
• Proven organizational and time management capabilities.
• Demonstrated ability to adapt to change and manage priorities effectively.
• Strong customer service skills when interacting with both internal and external clients.
• Previous experience in a global environment, building relationships with individuals in remote locations and virtual teams.
• Comprehensive understanding of the technical services business, product launch processes, and the healthcare environment.
• Must be eligible for overnight travel within the US and Canada.
• Experience and understanding of DR support and x-ray room experiences are essential.
• Must be eligible to apply for customer-initiated security clearances, such as the US National Agency Check (NAC).
