Field Service Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Provide exceptional service delivery across projects of low to medium complexity, adhering to ABB's processes, quality benchmarks, and safety protocols.

• Offer remote technical assistance to clients during standby periods.

• Collaborate with customers on-site to pinpoint opportunities for enhancing their operations and addressing pain points.

• Carry out field service responsibilities, diagnosing technical problems, and conducting analyses through remote or on-site engagement in various service categories and products.

• Support the preparation of material lists required for service tasks, ensuring all materials, parts, and equipment are available and meet quality standards.

• Help in the development of work packs, including conducting risk assessments and drafting method statements.

• Diagnose equipment/process failures, initiate preventive corrective measures, and provide recommendations to prevent recurrence of such issues in the future.

⛳️ Requirements

• Highly proficient in electrical and mechanical engineering solutions, preferably within the marine and ports sector, though this is not mandatory.

• Proven ability to adapt to varying schedules and operate independently in the field.

• Field service experience is essential, with ABB product knowledge being advantageous.

• Open to working in challenging environments, both domestically in the UK and internationally, including offshore roles.

• Relevant tertiary qualification in electrical engineering and/or a proven professional record.

• Effective communicator with a diverse range of individuals, including colleagues and customers.

• Proven proficiency in using Microsoft Office applications, including Word and Excel.

• Possess a current UK driving license.
