Field Service Engineer – Application Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Belgium.

📋 Description

• Lead the installation, commissioning, and modification of our sensor-based sorting systems at customer sites throughout the region.

• Represent Insort with professionalism and technical expertise at customer locations. Establish strong, lasting relationships while assessing customer needs and providing advice on new applications and customized solutions.

• Develop, maintain, and optimize application models and algorithms. Integrate solutions into existing systems, ensuring they meet customer and product specifications.

• Carry out regular maintenance and implement upgrades to improve machine and model performance, guaranteeing optimal and dependable operation.

• Perform detailed fault analysis and collaborate with internal specialists for prompt and effective troubleshooting. Provide support to Field Service Engineers both remotely and on-site.

• Create training materials, conduct sessions for customers and service teams, and contribute to internal knowledge management through data analysis and ongoing documentation enhancements.

⛳️ Requirements

• Educational Background: Completed training or education in electrical engineering, mechatronics, or a related technical discipline.

• Practical Experience: Prior experience in field service, maintenance, or installation is advantageous.

• Tool Competency: Proficient in interpreting electrical schematics and utilizing hand tools; capable of applying electrical standards and safety protocols.

• Language Proficiency: Strong command of Dutch and English; knowledge of German is a plus.

• Independent & Analytical: Solution-oriented approach with robust self-organization and a strong sense of accountability.

• Willingness to Travel: Prepared to travel over 80% of the time, including multi-day assignments.
