Field Service Engineer, 4+ years

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Nevada, +4 more states.

📋 Description

• Installs, operates, maintains, repairs, and modifies equipment.

• Performs a range of maintenance and technical support on products including equipment, integrated systems and subsystems, and software at customer and/or field locations.

• Analyzes and assesses products and their performance.

• Troubleshoots and diagnoses issues to resolve problems in the least amount of time.

• Installs, upgrades, and removes products while ensuring coordinated engineering field changes.

• Maintains effective communication and relationships with customers.

• May provide onsite training for customer support staff.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 4 years of relevant experience is required.

• High school diploma or equivalent is necessary.

• Relevant experience in clinical field service or clinical customer support is required.

• A Bachelor’s degree in Bioengineering, engineering, or a technology-related field is a plus.

• Experience with robotics or motion control is preferred.

• Previous experience as a Technician/Field Services in the medical device industry is a plus.

• Familiarity with anatomy, surgical protocols, and medical terminology is advantageous.

• Strong troubleshooting abilities combined with technical skills, creativity, and high discipline are essential.

• Familiarity with commonly used test equipment is necessary.

• Ability to read and comprehend schematics and engineering drawings is required.

• Excellent analytical and communication skills are essential.

• Must be a responsive problem solver who is action-oriented in addressing customer issues and meeting requirements.

• Experience troubleshooting and repairing medical devices is preferred.

• Ability to apply engineering principles, such as electrical, mechanical, thermodynamic, and biomedical concepts, to troubleshooting without complete technical documentation is crucial.

• Excellent English writing and verbal communication skills are required.
