Field Security Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Serve as the trusted security authority for enterprise clients. Lead calls, conduct in-depth architectural discussions, and perform security assessments with advanced security teams at Fortune 500 organizations within sectors such as financial services, healthcare, and payments. When critical decisions are on the line and challenging questions arise, you provide precise answers or commit to finding them.

• Facilitate AI security discussions with confidence. Clients inquire about agent behavior, MCP exposure, context governance, and ISO 42001. You are equipped to engage in these discussions now, without a lengthy onboarding period.

• Transform security assessments into a catalyst for progress. Manage cases that Vanta cannot accommodate, including those requiring discretion, reusable assets that expedite reviews, and trust center materials that proactively address recurring inquiries before they necessitate human intervention. This also entails ensuring Atlan's public trust center remains up-to-date and genuinely beneficial. The objective is to achieve quicker customer onboarding rather than simply completing questionnaires.

• Develop automation that reduces manual tasks over time. Create and deploy AI agents that fill the gaps left by Vanta, maintain current evidence, and streamline the security review process, making it significantly easier each quarter. You will oversee these systems comprehensively.

• Play a vital role in Atlan's compliance initiatives across SOC 2, ISO 27001, ISO 42001, HIPAA, and GDPR: gathering evidence, supporting audits, and automating continuous compliance. This role offers a genuine pathway for growth as your responsibilities expand beyond fieldwork, not merely an ancillary task.

⛳️ Requirements

• You have experience in customer-facing security roles at a B2B SaaS company and can engage in credible technical discussions with enterprise security teams, maintaining accuracy and composure even when high-stakes deals are involved.

• You have successfully built AI agents that are operational, not just prototypes or experimental prompts. These are real systems that have automated compliance tasks, triage, evidence collection, or questionnaire processes.

• You possess a deep understanding of AI and LLM security, enabling you to convey concepts such as prompt injection, agent guardrails, MCP exposure, model and data risks, and the relevance of frameworks like ISO 42001 to customers.

• You proactively identify issues, develop solutions, and follow through to close the loop. You do not rely on others to fulfill commitments you make during calls.

• You are willing to work evening IST hours to align with customers in the US and EU. This is a fundamental aspect of the role, not just an occasional requirement.
