This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.
• Oversee independent specialist retailers and physical stores across all channels while enhancing existing business relationships.
• Actively seek out new strategic retail partners and specialist trade (GPK).
• Assist Key Account Managers in managing their national customer accounts (e.g., furniture retailers, consumer electronics retailers, department stores, and grocery retail).
• Develop a robust network and foster strong customer relationships to boost partner engagement and brand loyalty.
• Enhance sales and profitability through the implementation of market strategies, creation of sales concepts, and effective management of business through compelling sales presentations.
• Secure product listings, design effective promotions, execute planogram and POS strategies, optimize sales terms, guarantee reliable demand planning, and address customer issues in alignment with JJ's brand and market strategy.
• Collaborate closely and communicate effectively with internal stakeholders such as Trade Marketing, Customer Service, Demand Planning, Finance, and Controlling to ensure a unified understanding of customer needs and JJ's market entry requirements.
• Engage actively in and contribute to annual contract and pricing negotiations, including documenting results and following up.
• Participate in trade fairs (e.g., Ambiente, TrendSet, EK Live, etc.), specialized events, and sales meetings.
• Continuously analyze and gather market and consumer insights within your customer domain, reporting findings to the Country Manager, Key Account Managers, and the global headquarters in the UK.
• Proven experience in sales/channel management as a field sales representative or similar experience in retail.
• Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Business Administration/Economics or an equivalent professional qualification, or over 7 years of sales experience.
• Demonstrated success in sales management and business development.
• Established relationships and networks with customers/distribution channels are beneficial but not essential, provided there is a willingness to proactively engage and build networks.
• Experience with premium brands is an advantage.
• Proficient in creating and managing forecasts and budgets.
• Background in Fast Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) or in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience working with regional or national key accounts.
• Intercultural experience and familiarity with project environments.
• Understanding of trade marketing, including sales planning and promotions.
• Knowledge of the housewares market.
• Native German language skills are required; very good English proficiency is also essential.
