This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.
• Deliver effective FMC product recommendations to clients and business stakeholders while successfully expanding FMC’s presence in NY.
• Ensure that all activities with distributor and retail accounts are consistent with the territory and overarching regional strategies.
• Collaborate with the Regional Business Manager to achieve regional objectives and control expenses.
• Generate substantial annual revenue for the organization.
• Oversee customer accounts, identifying and nurturing new prospects for FMC product sales.
• Concentrate on achieving sales goals, fostering business development, building customer relationships, and addressing customer concerns.
• Formulate and implement account plans, negotiating to achieve sales targets while considering profit margins and revenue.
• Cultivate business relationships with customers.
• Prepare sales presentations, call strategies, proposals, and reports for both internal and external communications.
• Gather and relay market insights related to sales volumes.
• Anticipate customer business requirements and plans.
• Collect and communicate competitive practices, aiding in the evaluation of competitive data.
• Identify and cultivate new business opportunities to enhance sales with existing clients or to acquire new clients.
• Coordinate interactions between customers and various company resources (technical, supply chain) to deliver added value to accounts.
• Recognize opportunities that lead to the development and execution of suitable actions.
• Mentor and guide sales representatives in adjacent territories.
• Responsible for operating within a customer segmentation model that takes account financials into consideration.
• Collaborate effectively with fellow sales professionals and corporate commercial teams.
• 10+ years of sales experience.
• Proven ability to make data-driven decisions utilizing CRM systems.
• Fundamental principles in value selling and agronomy.
• Experience in facilitating and executing complex projects.
• Strong financial and business insight.
• Proven track record of driving new and existing business opportunities with key accounts, including national accounts, within a sales territory.
• Demonstrated capability to make decisions with minimal supervision; frequently handles complex decisions within operational guidelines.
• Experience in leveraging critical accounts to support national accounts.
• Proven ability to negotiate with middle to senior management.
• Strong negotiation skills with external stakeholders to secure favorable agreements for all parties involved.
• Ability to provide guidance and mentorship to sales representatives in neighboring territories without a direct reporting relationship.
• Experience leading projects or special assignments that extend beyond the local area or region.
• Established record of making a significant impact on sales within a designated territory.
• Recognized as a valuable resource among peers within the sales organization.
