Field Representative, Insurance Inspections

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Tennessee.

📋 Description

• Schedule and perform on-site evaluations while completing reports to assess customer risk.

• Identify business operations, construction materials, fire protection systems, and safety protocols.

• Formulate recommendations pertaining to safety and loss prevention.

• Represent Verisk and its clients professionally through phone, in-person interactions, and written communication.

• Produce precise, customer-focused reports in alignment with Verisk’s commitment to data quality.

• Assess commercial properties for insurance underwriting, risk evaluation, and loss mitigation.

• Visit a variety of businesses and inspect properties to provide insights that aid insurer underwriting decisions.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant experience.

• Preferred fields of study or experience may encompass Risk Management and Insurance, Construction Management, Property and Liability Insurance, or Safety.

• Preferred experience may include insurance loss control, underwriting or claims; commercial building construction, compliance, or other property inspections; fire safety and industrial safety roles.

• Exceptional customer service and strong verbal and written communication abilities.

• Capacity to compose concise and informative reports that meet quality standards.

• High proficiency with technology, including laptops, mobile devices, MS Office suite, and mobile applications.

• Working knowledge of functional math, including square footage, perimeter, and percentages.

• Self-driven planning and goal-setting capabilities.

• Ability to efficiently schedule, document, and conduct site visits with minimal direct supervision.

• Skill in recording and observing details and measurements, gathering data, mapping, and traveling between sites.

• Capability to work in diverse environments and weather conditions.

• Physical ability to walk, stand, climb stairs, drive for extended periods to complete assignments, and occasionally use ladders.

• Professional certifications such as CFPS, CSP, ARM, ALCM, NFPA, or CPCU are beneficial.
