• Provide education to healthcare professionals (HCPs) regarding patient support programs, encompassing access and reimbursement support tools and services.
• Inform about product-specific acquisition and access options, such as specialty pharmacy networks and specialty distribution channels.
• Share information on resources available to tackle access issues.
• Offer local expertise on national and regional payer policies to educate providers about payer challenges, coding updates, and proper claims submission procedures.
• Collaborate with Abbvie’s Access and Reimbursement support center to keep HCPs informed about prescription status and program eligibility.
• Relay payer trend information related to approved products back to Patient Services and MHC account management teams.
• Build and sustain relationships with relevant providers within the assigned territory.
• Stay informed on key managed care, reimbursement, and policy developments.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in Immunology, with a background in Managed Health Care, Payer Account Management, and/or Access and Reimbursement.
• In-depth knowledge of the technical payer policy processes, systems, and requirements for coverage, coding, and payment related to specialty medicines.
• Proven understanding of the regulations, rules, and risks linked to the provision of reimbursement support services.
• Strong capability to communicate technical aspects of coding and billing requirements at both the National and Regional levels across various care settings.
• Comprehensive knowledge of Medicare Parts A, B, C, and D, along with associated reimbursement dynamics.
• Solid understanding of drug acquisition and dispensing within the Neuroscience sector (including Specialty Pharmacies, Specialty Distributors, and white-bagging, etc.).
• Proficient in access and reimbursement support service centers and their compliant interaction methodologies.
• Outstanding territory and account management abilities.
• Bachelor’s degree and a valid driver’s license are required.
• A critical aspect of this position is to meet all relevant healthcare industry representative (HCIR) credentialing requirements to gain and maintain access to facilities and organizations within your designated territory.
