This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama, +12 more states.
• Oversee the logistics and process for field placements of MSW students.
• Ensure that eligible students are assigned to suitable field sites that comply with Field Program standards.
• Assist students in identifying potential field sites.
• Act as the university's representative for inquiries related to field placements from both internal and external parties.
• Address queries from students, site supervisors, and agency directors.
• Resolve placement challenges in collaboration with field leadership, instructors, and practicum specialists.
• Organize and lead weekly supplemental supervision sessions for social work interns.
• Provide direct supplemental supervision during evening hours when necessary.
• Keep an up-to-date master list of students receiving supplemental supervision each term.
• Monitor and evaluate students’ progress in field learning, professional growth, and readiness for practice.
• Assist students whose placements may have inadequate on-site supervision.
• Identify and evaluate agencies suitable for MSW field placements.
• Maintain relationships with agencies and manage logistics, contracts, and compliance for placements.
• Track placement data for student interns by term.
• Support the preparation of accreditation review materials and data.
• Ensure that field education documentation meets CSWE standards.
• Undertake additional responsibilities for the Field Program as required.
• Work under the close supervision of the Director of Field Education.
• A Master of Social Work degree from a CSWE-accredited MSW program.
• Over 2 years of post-master’s experience in placing MSW students for field practicum within a university online platform.
• Experience in placing graduate-level students for field practicum in an online college/university platform is highly preferred.
• Familiarity with academic, social work, and field processes in an online college/university environment.
• Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
• Advanced organizational capabilities and meticulous attention to detail.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) or equivalent Google Workspace tools (Gmail, Docs, Sheets, Slides).
• Capability to utilize AI-powered tools such as Microsoft Copilot, Google Gemini, ChatGPT, Grammarly, or similar applications.
• Ability to exercise independent judgment, show tact and diplomacy, and uphold confidentiality.
• Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot and perform under pressure.
• Competence in working effectively within a collaborative setting.
• Flexibility to work across varying time zones nationally, internationally, and on military bases.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Knowledge of SharePoint, Excel, Data Collection/Analysis, and Sonia is preferred.
• Candidates will undergo a background check and criminal history review.
• Preference for California residency; travel within California is expected approximately 1–4 times per year.
