This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
• Assist the Field Operations Director in implementing field operations strategies across designated projects.
• Act as a primary liaison between field leadership and project teams to ensure alignment with project objectives, timelines, and client requirements.
• Engage in project handoff meetings, contributing insights on labor, equipment requirements, subcontractor coordination, and field execution strategies.
• Examine project documents, drawings, schedules, and scopes to prepare for efficient field execution.
• Collaborate on manpower planning with superintendents and field leaders; communicate and facilitate staffing requirements to the Field Operations Director.
• Oversee field productivity, safety, quality, and schedule performance across assigned projects.
• Review and assess field documentation including daily reports, lookahead schedules, site inspections, and KPIs.
• Conduct regular site visits to ensure adherence to Mullins Mechanical safety policies, site-specific plans, and OSHA regulations.
• Lead or assist in safety meetings, toolbox talks, Job Safety Analyses (JSAs/MSAs), and incident investigations.
• Execute field quality audits to ensure installations comply with company standards and aid in corrective action plans as required.
• Organize equipment delivery, utilization, maintenance, and calibration to guarantee seamless field operations.
• Aid in tracking project advancement, identifying potential delays, and executing mitigation strategies.
• Coordinate feedback from field teams with vendors, subcontractors, and suppliers to resolve issues and enhance execution.
• Facilitate project closeout activities, ensuring that field documentation and punch lists are completed accurately and timely.
• Take part in lessons-learned meetings and provide insights to enhance future project planning and execution.
• Mentor and support superintendents, foremen, and field personnel through training, coaching, and performance feedback.
• Foster a culture of safety, accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement in field operations.
• Ensure accurate timekeeping, attendance tracking, and cost code usage for assigned field staff.
• Assist the Field Operations Director during audits, reviews, and leadership meetings as necessary.
• Additional responsibilities may be assigned as business needs evolve.
• Demonstrated experience as a Superintendent, General Superintendent, or similar field leadership position in a self-performing construction setting.
• Comprehensive understanding of mechanical construction operations, safety standards, and quality control practices.
• Proven capability to coordinate manpower, equipment, and field resources across various projects.
• Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and communication abilities.
• Proficient in MS Office, Procore, Bluebeam, and scheduling tools.
• Ability to effectively lead, mentor, and collaborate with field and project management teams.
• OSHA 30 certification is mandatory.
• Willingness to travel frequently to project sites as needed.
• Previous experience and a proven track record as a construction Senior Superintendent for a trade performed by Mullins, or in a comparable role.
• Familiarity with safety, quality, and health protocols for construction job sites.
• In-depth knowledge of construction operations and processes.
• Proficiency in MS Office and MS Project.
• Bilingual (Spanish) is advantageous.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Ability to communicate in a professional manner.
• Capacity to lead and motivate others.
