Field Medical Director, Radiology – Part Time

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Act as the Physician match reviewer for Imaging cases.

• Engage in discussions regarding determinations through peer-to-peer phone calls with requesting physicians or ordering providers.

• Apply medical and clinical review guidelines and parameters.

• Ensure that all communications with medical office staff and/or MD providers are properly documented.

• Assist the Senior Medical Director with research activities and inquiries related to the Utilization Management process.

• Take part in ongoing training as part of the inter-rater reliability process.

⛳️ Requirements

• MD/DO/MBBS degree.

• A minimum of five (5) years of experience in the practice of Medicine following residency, with active clinical practice preferred within the last 2 years.

• A current and unrestricted clinical home state license in medicine or the required specialty.

• Active Board Certification from an accredited organization.

• Strong skills in clinical practice, management, communication, and organization.

• Energetic and inquisitive, with a commitment to quality and value in healthcare.

• Proficiency in computer usage.

• Not currently excluded or sanctioned by any state or federal healthcare program, including Medicare or Medicaid.

• No history of significant disciplinary or legal actions from a state medical board.
